De jonge Franse journaliste Judith is vastbesloten Salvador Dalí te interviewen, maar elke poging hiertoe wordt keer op keer dwarsgezeten door de flamboyante kunstenaar en zijn groeiende eisenpakket. Daaaaaalí!, de nieuwe komedie van regisseur Quentin Dupieux (Deerskin, Rubber) is, net als het werk van de iconische Dalí zelf, doorspekt met surrealisme: niet voor niets wordt de titelrol door maar liefst zes acteurs vertolkt.
